Labor Issues - A decent days pay - for a decent days work !

A person who Runs a Small Business, and in our case - we are talking about, a Small Package Pick-Up & Delivery Courier Service Business.  There are a dozen different tasks involved in the daily activity of a ICVO's SPPD service operations.  But they are all part of the whole service, overseeing the successful performance of their Courier Business.

Reports on breakdown are in archives.  Excluding the Big 4, Larger Courier Companies basically [sub-contract's-out or hires-out] dispatches the bulk of Mainstream-SPPD service to the ICVO's.  Cost analysis shows greater profits for Contracting Courier Companies who hire Sub-Contractors.  This area revolves around the KRUX of the middle - of the whole enchilada.  No one has the ability to do the Management and Bookkeeping.  There is a “vague” rationale behind why a ICVO is contracted by the Contracting Company.  The Courier Process is not cataloged and broken down.  Tasks are performed that are not accounted for, men and woman are doing “work” they are not even getting paid for.  The SPPD ICVO Industry as a whole needs be - be as, much more segmented in accounting of procedure, with crystal clear descriptive definitions.

Organized Labor, AFL-CIO, Local Established Labor Unions Halls, this is always possible to accomplish, further on down the road.  We have to get a list of members first.  From there, quite a bit will be possible.

 

First Order of Business, 

1).    Make a Roster of Members

2).    Agree to “Code of Conduct” (part of which is the "ICVO Contract")

3).    Raise funds

 

Upon reaching X amount of members, maybe 50,000 members - That bridge will be crossed when we get to it, which with one can conclude that it may happen sooner than later.

Current state is for: AICVOA  - 

1).     Membership-Drive Stage

2).     Current Membership less than 50,000

3).     Raising money

Serious Reasons for wanting to be an Organized Labor Union,  that are the main reasons why an ICVO has to make his voice known.

Big Problems:

A-1:    Courier ICVO's are subjected to over-use, abuse leading to severe abuse. 

The SPPD process is prone to human acts of abuse - such as:  misunderstandings, misinterpretations, inefficiency, wastefulness, deception, clandestine trickery, perversion of the truth, fraud, career abuse, mental abuse, hurtful mean-spirit dialogue, physical abuse, financial abuse and unjustified financial claims -  

The AICVOA is established to combat these problems head-on and desires results with maximum impact.  ICVO's are Human Beings - not Robots .

 

 

 

This photo montage shows, an ICVO doing his job.  Specifically, he is loading a box into his van.  The loading process is different for every type or p/u - del.  This picture shows the steps the ICVO must take, to physically load an item into his van.  First bending over, then grasping the item, using his body muscles, lifting the item , and then placing it into his van.  Usually, there are a few items.  Sometimes there are many many items, a van full.  That’s allot of lifting and contorting of the human body.

How much is the ICVO compensated monetarily for the physical labor he must perform ?                                          

Whatever measurable amount is established, it must be acknowledged.
